Mobile visibility for franchise chains revolves around one moment: someone searches on their phone for something nearby and immediately wants to call, get directions or check a time. We make sure the right location appears at that moment, with accurate details and a page that loads fast. That applies to typing, to voice and to every map service.
How does a mobile near me search unfold?
A mobile searcher is in a hurry. They type or say "bakery near me", look at the map, pick a location and tap call or directions. The whole moment often takes less than a minute. Every error in that chain costs you the customer: a wrong phone number, a closed door or a page that does not load.
| Step | What the searcher does | What needs to be right on your side |
|---|---|---|
| Search query | Types or speaks, often with 'near me' | Correct category and location name in every profile |
| Map and profile | Compares opening hours, reviews and photos | Complete profile in Google, Apple Maps and Bing |
| Action | Taps call, directions or website | Working number, correct pin and a fast location page |
| Visit | Comes to the location | Opening hours that are actually right, including bank holidays |

What does the head office handle and what do locations handle for mobile searchers?
Mobile visibility touches every channel at once. That is why a clear division of tasks is needed. The head office safeguards the technical side of the site, the data and the brand image. The location keeps photos up to date, reports special opening hours and responds to customers. We make sure both sides connect, with Google Maps for franchise chains as the starting point.
Near me: map and profiles
For searches with local intent, the search engine often shows a map first. Whoever appears there with a complete profile gets the click. We manage the profiles per location in Google, Apple Maps and Bing from one source file.
Voice: short questions, short answers
A spoken question is usually a full sentence: "What time does the nearest location open?" Voice assistants read the answer aloud from profiles and pages. That is why we put opening hours and key questions briefly and clearly on every location page. This ties in with our approach to visibility in AI search engines.
The page behind the click
Anyone who taps website should land on the page of that one location, not on the homepage. That page loads fast, shows the phone number at the top and has a directions button. Read more about this under a dedicated page per location.
What do we actually do for the mobile visibility of locations?
We work from the outside in: first what the searcher sees on the map, then the page behind it, then the technical side. AI helps flag inconsistencies across all profiles and draft texts per location. A specialist checks everything before it goes live.
| Task | Why | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Align profiles in Google, Apple Maps and Bing | The map is the first thing a mobile searcher sees | The same details on every map |
| Check the call and directions buttons per location | A wrong number costs you a customer straight away | Every button leads to the right location |
| Optimise location pages for mobile | Slow pages get clicked away | A fast page with number and directions at the top |
| Add short answers to local questions | Voice assistants read short answers aloud | Location mentioned in spoken queries |
| Get reviews and responses in order | Mobile searchers compare star ratings at a glance | A well-kept impression per location |

Which metrics belong to mobile visibility?
You measure mobile visibility by actions, not just by rankings. Every location has its own metrics in the dashboard. To get started, you can work through a local SEO checklist per location yourself.
| Metric | Why | How we measure it |
|---|---|---|
| Call clicks and direction requests | Direct signals from a customer on the move | Insights from the profiles, per location per month |
| Visibility in 'near me' searches | Shows whether you appear on the map | Fixed search queries from several points around the location |
| Mobile loading speed of the location page | Every second of waiting costs visitors | Mobile speed test per page type |
| Accuracy of details on every map | A wrong address or time means a missed customer | Monthly comparison with the source file |
| Response time to reviews | Responses count in the searcher's choice | Time to first response per review |
Where do franchise chains lose mobile searchers?
The classic mistake is a store locator that does not work on a phone or loads a large map first. We also often see one central phone number for all locations, which lands a caller in a phone menu. Profiles that are only correct in Google leave iPhone users with outdated details in Apple Maps. And reviews go unanswered: in the Local SEO Benchmark Franchise Ketens 2026, 6 of the 100 chains studied responded to reviews within 24 hours. For a searcher who chooses in a few seconds, that says a lot. We tackle this with review management on every platform.
What does a mobile check of a franchise chain look like?
A fictional example of a franchise brand with 30 locations. For each location, we test the entire search moment on a phone, from search query to the call and directions buttons.
| Finding | Locations (fictional) | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Website button leads to the homepage | 30 | Link to the location's own page |
| Central number instead of a local one | 12 | Local number or direct call forwarding |
| Opening hours differ between maps | 9 | Align them from the source file |
| Location page slow on mobile | 30 | Speed up the page template once for all locations |
| Reviews without a response | 24 | Review management with a response within 24 hours |
What does better mobile visibility cost per location?
Mobile visibility is a combination of profiles, reviews and location pages. That is why it usually fits in the Growth package (€400) or Full service (€600) per location per month, excl. VAT. The Basic package at €199 covers Google Business Profile management, NAP monitoring and a monthly report. Want to know where your chain stands? You can request a free baseline measurement. What does a location outside the Google Maps top 3 cost you?
This calculation uses Dutch figures instead of American click-through rates. The average revenue per franchise location comes from the Dutch Franchise Association (NFV) statistics, reference year 2025. Nobody can say in advance exactly how much revenue a location loses without a top position in Google Maps, with a Google Business Profile that is not in order, or without proper review management. So you calculate a scenario per cause: a few percent of revenue going to a more visible competitor. Add them up and you see the combined cost.
| Sector | Revenue per location per year | 1% revenue missed | 3% revenue missed | Growth package (€4,800 a year) as share of revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All sectors (average) | €1,445,000 | €14,450 | €43,350 | 0.33% |
| Services | €480,000 | €4,800 | €14,400 | 1% |
| Hospitality | €1,230,000 | €12,300 | €36,900 | 0.39% |
| Health care | €1,270,000 | €12,700 | €38,100 | 0.38% |
| Non-food retail | €1,750,000 | €17,500 | €52,500 | 0.27% |
| Food retail | €2,910,000 | €29,100 | €87,300 | 0.16% |
| Other brands | €680,000 | €6,800 | €20,400 | 0.71% |
- 6 of the 100 largest Dutch franchise chains reply to a Google review within 24 hours; the average response time is 6.8 days and 90% has no demonstrable review management process.
- Only 40% of the 500 Google Business Profiles examined is fully completed.
- In the measurement one review was viewed around 15,000 times on average: an unanswered complaint stays visible to thousands of people.
- 42% of consumers would rather not do business with a company that never replies to reviews (BrightLocal 2026).
